Florida Trail Association maintains 3 miles of
trail in Hillsborough River State Park, including one primitive
campsite, on the north side of the Hillsborough River. The trail
may be accessed from the bridge at the concession/picnic area
in the park. There are also several other nature trails available
in the park.
Hillsborough River State Park is located on US-301 nine miles
north of Fowler Avenue in Tampa. You can also reach Hillsborough
River State Park from the north. Take I-75 to the SR-54 exit.
Go east on SR-54 to Zephyrhills. Turn south on US-301. Continue
south on US-301 until you cross the Hillsborough River bridge.
Look for the entrance to the park on the right.
